Once in a lavish backwoods, there carried on with a shrewd fox named Slyfur. Slyfur was famous for his voracious eagerness, continuously needing too much the woods' wealth. He overheard Luna, a wise old owl, talking about a legendary treasure that was deep in the woods one day.
Driven by his voracity, Slyfur set off on a tenacious journey to track down the slippery fortune. Slyfur was persuaded that wealth was the key to happiness when he ran into fellow animals who warned him about the curse of greed along the way.
Following quite a while of resolute looking, Slyfur coincidentally found a sparkling cavern. Inside, he tracked down heaps of gold, valuable jewels, and different fortunes beyond anything he could ever imagine. Overpowered by insatiability, he started accumulating all that he could convey, his eyes glimmering with greed.
Little did Slyfur had at least some idea that the fortune was charmed, and as he gripped the wealth, a secretive voice reverberated through the cavern, "Eagerness conceives distress, abundance brings no tomorrow."
Slyfur ignored the warning and continued to accumulate wealth until the once-major forest started to wither. Streams became dry as leaves fell from trees. Different creatures endured as Slyfur's voracity emptied the existence force out of the land.
Frantic and alone, Slyfur at long last understood the scourge of his unquenchable craving. Blasted with regret, he argued for pardoning from the backwoods and its occupants. The enchantment miraculously vanished, but the harm was done.
Slyfur, presently lowered and changed, devoted his other days to reestablishing the backwoods. He discovered that the harmony and balance of nature, not material wealth, was the true measure of wealth. The creatures excused him, and the woods thrived again, instructing everybody that the quest for abundance to the detriment of others brings just hopelessness.
